The .02 Ticket
Also known as a juvenile DUI. A BAC of .02 is considered a civil offense and will show up on your motor vehicle record. Anyone with a .08 or higher is cited into court for a criminal DUI charge.
Consequences for a first offense:
Loss of license for 6 months Requirement to complete an approved alcohol & driving education program at your own expense which range from $400 - $550.
Consequences of Second or Subsequent
Offenses:
Loss of license for one year or until age 21 (whichever is longer)
Required alcohol & driving education program as outlined above.
